FORGIVENESS

                    FORGIVENESS - It’s a Process

The first step is to make a choice (out loud) to forgive the person who hurt you. When you hold onto the hurts and resentment – you drink the POISON you have for the other person. If you don’t let it go – the seed of bitterness will take root in your heart. In time, it will become a part of you – it will turn into an emotional ball of hate that will find a place in your body. It can cause chronic pain and all kinds of infirmity.

Solution: let God deal with the other person who hurt you. He is a righteous Father. It’s not about right or wrong – It’s about you being free.

The second step is to keep blessing the other person which will release them in the spirit and break the negative soul-tie with them. (See soul-tie procedure after forgiveness. And if you can’t forgive, do the soul-tie procedure and then come back to forgiveness).

Forgiveness Procedure:               Sozo

Repeat after me:

Jesus, I choose to forgive ___________ who hurt me.

Name the all ways they hurt you.

Put your hands on your heart and repeat after me:

Jesus, I bundle-up all the hurt and pain and give it to You.

Reach out your hands to Jesus.

Did He take all your pain and resentment? Did you let it go?

Repeat after me:

Jesus, what do You give me in return?

Jesus is giving you a present. Open the present – what do you see inside the box?

 FORGIVENESS PRAYER

Repeat after me:

Jesus, shine with your Light on my soul and show me an image of where my soul has been injured. I ask forgiveness for the (fear, anger, inferiority, rejection, rebellion) that I have allowed in my life.

I forgive ............ for anything he/she has done to hurt me or did not give me what I needed.

I forgive myself for allowing unforgiveness, fear, anger, inferiority, rejection and rebellion in my life.

Lord Jesus, cover all these sins with Your precious Blood and shine with Your Light in my soul. Heal my soul Lord, so that the enemy has no more authority to enter. Thank You, Jesus.

QUESTIONS

Jesus, what do You think about me?

Is there someone else I need to forgive?

Jesus, is there something that I should know?

Is there something blocking me from a relationship with You?

Why am I afraid to give the control of my life to You?

Is there a door opened that makes me feel unworthy?

What is the lie I am believing? What is the truth?

Jesus, who are the:

People I regularly dream about. (Negatively)

People I regularly think about. (Negatively)

What are the situations in my life I would like to change?

Hebrews 12:15 “See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled”.

     ROOT OF BITTERNESS

Prayer: Father God, I ask You to release me from every demonic bond of bitterness and anger that has gained access to my soul, through this traumatic event. Remove all the “poison” trapped in my body and mind.

Jesus, forgive me for holding on to this bitterness. There can be no greater suffering that what You experienced on the Cross, yet You forgave your persecutors and have commanded us to also forgive all those who hurt us.

I release all the bitterness, hate and revenge in my heart for (the one to forgive) and give him/her up to your Justice.

Jesus, let the stream of your Grace, that I now have received through my forgiveness, flow into (the one to forgive) so he/she may also be released.

Father, take this root of bitterness away from me and let the Blood of Your Son, Jesus, cleans and heal the open wounds in my soul.

Jesus, I lift up into your Hands this seed of bitterness.

(Did you let it go?) (Did Jesus take it from you?)

(Pause)

Thank You, Jesus. Jesus, what will You give me in return?
